Kristin Standafer

Clinic Administrator

Kristin has been with MCP since the very first day, May 11, 2009. As the Clinic Administrator, her role includes everything from policy and program development, office and staff management, daily accounting, patient relations and even a little party planning. Kristin has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McPherson College in Kansas. Prior to MCP, Kristin supervised a rehabilitative program for adults with mental illness for five years.

Karissa

DBT Assessment Coordinator / Administrative Assistant

Karissa joined the MCP staff as a Front Desk Receptionist in February 2017. She is currently the DBT Assessment Coordinator where she uses her organizational and customer service skills to keep our Dialectical Behavior Therapy program thriving while helping clients get matched with therapists and skills groups.

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Music. She hopes to return to school in the near future to pursue a graduate degree in music therapy, career counseling, or the healthcare field.

Roberta

Insurance Liaison / Billing Team LEAD

Roberta came to MCP in November 2015 with experience both in mental health clinics seeking authorizations and working on the behavioral health side for insurance companies. In addition to overseeing the billing team, she helps to determine insurance eligibility, seeks and tracks authorizations, and troubleshoots problems with insurance payments.

Angela

Front desk lead

Angela joined the MCP staff as a Front Desk Receptionist in December 2017, and now serves as the Front Desk Lead. Angela is currently working on her second biology degree, this one in Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation Biology with an ornithology emphasis and a minor in Environmental Law and Policy through Oregon State University’s Online Degree Program. After graduation, she hopes to work in endangered species conservation and critical habitat restoration.

Cadence

Receptionist / administrative assistant

Cadence joined the MCP Staff as a Front Desk Receptionist in March 2023. She is currently working towards her Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a focus in Illustration and Sculptural studies. After graduation, Cadence hopes to work within the design community where her art can contribute to educating and supporting people from all walks of life.

DBT ASSESSMENT TEAM

Drew joined the MCP team in April 2022 as a Front Desk Receptionist. Drew graduated from Augsburg University with a major in Clinical Psychology and a minor in Sexuality Studies. With a passion for the mental health therapy field, Drew is pursuing a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas.

Kendall

Kendall joined the Front Desk Staff in September 2023. She is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in the Psychology Bachelor of Arts program. After graduating, she intends to go to graduate school for Counseling psychology. She brings a lot of customer service experience to the table as well as some experience in the substance abuse field.

Laurie

Receptionist

DBT ASSESSMENT TEAM

Laurie joined the MCP staff as a Front Desk Receptionist in September 2021 and has since become an original member of the DBT Assessment Team at MCP.  Laurie has her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and her minors in Theatre and English from the University of South Dakota. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Social Work at Saint Mary's with the goal of becoming a therapist. 

Noah

Noah joined the MCP team at the front desk in June 2022. In August 2023 he moved into a billing role. Noah recently finished a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Augsburg University. He continues to conduct research on ACT-based interventions. He plans to further his education by enrolling in a Psychology Master’s program in the coming year.

Rachel

Receptionist

Rachel joined the MCP staff as a Front Desk Receptionist in November 2023. She obtained her BA in English from the University of Minnesota and is currently enrolled in the Master of Social Work program at the University of St. Thomas with the goal of becoming a therapist.
