Rebecca Getz, Psy.D., L.P.

Licensed Psychologist, CEO

She/Her/Hers

PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Getz is not accepting new clients at this time.

“My ultimate goal as a psychologist is to help people create and live the lives they want. My clients are resilient, courageous people—I try to assist them in finding and connecting to their own wisdom, values and goals. I am a “doing” therapist, so I help my clients not only talk about and gain insight into various issues, but do things differently to create the change they want.

I try to provide a non-judgmental, validating and compassionate space for my clients to do hard work. I emphasize improving overall wellness and health as I believe the different aspects of health (i.e., physical, mental health) are all connected. I also focus on mindfulness, as I believe awareness and presence are the foundation for change.

Sessions are interactive and may incorporate learning and applying skills, identifying and challenging erroneous beliefs/myths, identifying effective and ineffective patterns/behaviors, addressing emotions/grief/loss, psychoeducation, exposure procedures, identifying values and creating a plan to incorporate values into life, considering a dialectical perspective/finding a “middle path”, creating goals and a plan to achieve goals, exploring the role of acceptance, identifying and addressing barriers, active problem-solving and increasing self-compassion.”
