MCP is Growing!!
The Minnesota Center for Psychology is excited to announce that we will be expanding in the Spring of 2014 in order to better serve the needs of our community. We will be moving less than 1 block away to the Midtown Commons building at 2324 University Ave West. This beautiful new space will be much larger and even closer to the new Raymond Light Rail stop! We are looking forward to this new phase that will help us continue to provide quality mental health services to the Twin Cities. More info to come… stay tuned!
MCP is pleased to welcome Kabita Roy, Psy.D., L.P., to our clinic. Dr. Roy will be seeing individuals for therapy on Saturdays beginning in November. Please contact the front desk at 651-644-4100 to schedule an assessment for individual therapy. Click the header above for more information on Dr. Roy.
Minnesota Center for Psychology is excited to announce the launch of a program in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Substance Use Disorders (DBT-SUD). This program was created for people diagnosed with co-occurring Borderline Personality Disorder and Substance Use Disorder (chemical abuse and dependency). Developed by Marsha Linehan, PhD, this model is supported by emerging evidence that DBT can be enhanced to effectively meet the unique needs of people with both disorders. Clients will receive manually adherent DBT, an emphasis on both abstinence and harm reduction models of chemical health treatment, targeted interventions to enhance motivation and maintain participation in treatment, and DBT skills developed specifically for the DBT-SUD population.
For more information or to request an appointment for an assessment, please contact Minnesota Center for Psychology at 651-644-4100 and ask about the DBT-SUD program.
